RE: pc
Hmm... is a it a prebuilt or parts in a cart? If it's a prebuilt I think it's not too bad but the video card seems a little on the dated side if I'm not mistaken. Power should be similar to a 9800GTX or GTX+, I can't remember which one it is. But my point is by today's standards you can get much better than that card.

Also curious... what would you be upgrading from?

It may be newer but I believe they did the same re branding scheme with the 8800/9800GT's about six months before that. Meaning I believe the 250 is the same in almost every aspect as the 9800GTX+ in terms of specs, which now that I think about it, isn't too bad of a card. I run cards in the 8800 series and am satisfied with even BO. So that price for an entire package doesn't sound bad at all.

RE: pc
the difference between the 8800 GTS and the 9800GTX+ is that they unlocked some of the steam core and did a die shrink... the difference between the 9800GTX+ and the GTS250 is that they tinkered with to power consumption... and i don't really know the difference between the GTS 250 and the GTS 450... but even with there rebadgeing motto i am sure they did complete some small improvement.... i am sure they changed the VRAM settings on the GTS 450.... I believe that the referance cards have 1GB GDDR5 in 128mb BUS.... where as the GTS 250 referance has 512mb GDDR5 in 256mb bus....

So yes I would go to looking for a GTS 250 with 1 GB GDDR5... look around on forums for a second hand one you could pick up for pretty cheap. IMO both cards will be able to run 3d via there aftermatker 3d kit. which i am use you will have to but regardless.

RE: pc
To be honest I think the price is very high? For that price over here in the UK I could get myself an amazing rig with all the bells and whistles, example....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Syclone-I5-Qua...2327a52c5e and this was the first that popped up. If you have spares left over from an old rig you could get soooo much more bang to buck
